Guidelines for Special Issues

1. Proposal Submission

Prospective Guest Editors should email detailed proposals to:

  • Managing Editor: dvertzagia[at]philosophy.uoa[dot]gr

  • Editor-in-Chief: eprotopa[at]philosophy.uoa[dot]gr

Proposals must include:

  • Special Issue title

  • Guest Editor(s) short CV(s)

  • Cover letter explaining significance

  • List of potential contributors

  • Outline timetable

The Editorial Board will respond within one month.

2. Post-Acceptance Process

An accepted proposal initiates a Call for Papers, drafted in collaboration with the Managing Editor and approved by the Editor-in-Chief.

Guest Editors must prepare an Introduction to the topic, later updated to reference accepted papers.

3. Editorial Standards

All submissions for Special Issues must:

  • Be submitted via the online system.

  • Meet the same scholarly and originality standards as regular submissions.

  • Undergo double-blind peer review.

Solicited papers are also peer-reviewed, potentially including internal reviewers (Editorial Board members).
The Editor-in-Chief may reject papers or the entire issue if quality standards, scope, or timelines are not met.
