AIMS AND SCOPE

Conatus – Journal of Philosophy is a biannual, diamond open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Applied Philosophy Research Laboratory of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Available in both print and electronic formats, the journal is dedicated to promoting original philosophical research across a broad spectrum of topics.

The journal invites original unpublished papers within any field of Philosophy or application of philosophical method to any areas of intellectual and practical life, including but not limited to history of philosophy, ontology and metaphysics, theory of knowledge and epistemology, ethics, metaethics and applied ethics, political and social philosophy, aesthetics, applied philosophy and interdisciplinary approaches. The journal also welcomes book reviews and proposals for special issues.

Conatus is the result of a collaboration between the NKUA Applied Philosophy Research Laboratory Press and the National Documentation Center (EKT), which provides e-publishing, indexing, and abstracting services.

Our commitment to diamond open access ensures that neither authors nor readers are charged any fees, fostering the unrestricted circulation of philosophical inquiry within the global academic community.
